Item PC-1: purchase of 11 KV VCB Panels.
RESOLUTION NO. 3/295 DTD. 21.3.2003
The Purchase Committee perused the Note in detail and noted that out of total ordered quantity of 11KV VCB Panels to M/s. Jyoti Ltd., they had to supply 70 panels upto 25.12.2002 but upto October, no panels were supplied and in the meantime, there was urgent requirement of about 100 panels for feeder bifurcation works. It was, therefore, decided to purchase these panels at the L-2 cost from M/s. Siemens as no supplier was ready to supply at the L-1 cost of M/s. Jyoti. Out of 70 panels to be supplied by M/s. Jyoti Ltd., upto 25th December 02, they could supply only 10 panels and as such differential cost of 60 panels [Rs. 14,33,009.76] will have to be recovered from M/s. Jyoti on account of their default in supply and the differential cost of remaining 40 panels [Rs. 9,55,339.84] purchased at the L-2 rates from M/s. Siemens is to be borne by the Board as the same were purchased to meet the urgent requirement. The Purchase Committee accorded its approval for the procurement of 40 panels at L-2 rates from M/s.
